WHO IS Elinda?

Elinda Xiao is a Chicago-based editorial illustrator-designer creating visual design for publications, brands, and destinations. She has a BFA in Illustration Design and a minor in Social Innovation from the ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, California.

Inspired by twentieth-century media and retro typesetting with a future-forward eye, Elinda’s work is intricately drawn, incorporating mediums such as gouache, ink, and watercolor with digital illustration to create a retro-inspired but distinctly modern “tradigital” style. She particularly enjoys creating maps, fashion lookbooks, and anything meant to be as functional as it is beautiful.
